Get Married For Ever

When we get married, we dream of having a peaceful everlasting relationship full of happiness and joy.  Do we really get all of it in our married lifetime?  I sometime feel scared when I see couples fighting and arguing with each other on silly things.  I just do not understand why do married couples have to make things so hot.

I did some research on this and I have found that most couples do not plan what to do after they marry.  I think we should have something like a rule book made by the couples.  This book will be written by both husband and wife mutually.  The rules will be simple everyday lifestyle rules.  And there should be and option of getting a reward for every good work and a punishment for every mistake.

Rewards can be given to each other in many ways.  A husband can buy something for his wife such as a dress or take her to a movie.  A wife can prepare a good meal which was in demand for a long time.  They can also go out and party.  The idea behind all this is to make each other feel nice.

Punishment on the other hand should never be too harsh or too difficult.  Instead of punishment we should call it a correction.  For every rule one breaks you get one correction.  You may be given a food which you do not like or your car keys are taken away so that you have to travel by bus to your office.

Couples must promise each other to confess any wrong doing as soon as possible.  Both of them should be given full freedom to spend time with anyone but they should disclose each other about it.  This way couples will develop trust.  In case of any dispute arising between the two, they should settle the matter by talking and not by arguing.

There are so many ways you can prolong your married life into happiness.  Just avoid arguing and things that may lead you to disaster.  And always keep yourself updated by surfing the Net for more on this subject.

Where can I buy boneless chickens?

Today I had chicken curry in my lunch along with rice.  I wish I can get some boneless chicken but I do not know where can I buy it as I live in an area where there are no shopping malls.  I have to travel by bus to the city nearby and visit any mall who sells these boneless chicken pieces.  I am sure there are shops who sell boneless chicken but I could not find any in my area.  May be they are costly that is why they are not in demand.  Plus raw chickens are now easily available in any meat shop nearby and they are cheap than boneless.  I still have some leftovers in the fridge.  I will have those in my dinner.  I will be adding some butter to make the gravy juicy and tasty.  I would like to know how you cook your chicken curry.

How to keep warm in winter?

I am feeling a bit cold now and then as winter is nearing so fast.  It is just the month of November, however we are having colder nights.  Since I do not have a heater or any type of heat system installed in my room, I guess I will have to eat a lot of chicken and hot coffee in order to keep myself warm.  I will also eat fried eggs and garlic which are indeed hot items and keeps your body warm from inside.  I will be buying a leather jacket in a week as my older jacket is not fitting on my body.  May be I have grown up a little in an year.  I was thinking what more I can do to keep myself warm through this winter.  Chicken will be on my menu twice a week.  Since I do not smoke or drink, I will have to take something very hot and spicy.  I am planning to use mustard seeds in my curry.  Plus all frying will be done with pure (Amul) butter or desi ghee.  Well let us see how I can survive this comming winter and I will write whenever I can and share you my ideas as how to keep warm.

Ready for your Dream Holiday?

Have you ever been to a place far away from your home? I have been to places like that many times. Sometime with parents, relatives, friends and even alone.

I live in India which is indeed a great place to be in any holiday season. India has a very big population and with diverse cultural background. To see India you will need at least three to five vacations from your office. Anybody who comes to India gets to see only a part of its culture. As you travel from one state to another you will find that the people here are so different from the other state. There are a lot of difference such as language, food, dress, etc.

So what is your dream holiday? Where do you want to visit this holiday season? Have you booked your seat in any hotels? You must hurry up as seats are being filled up as we speak.

Your hotels for your vacation.

Its again that time of the year when you get your vacation from your office or work. Now all you need to find out is where to have your vacation. You will be searching the internet for various vacation spots all over the world. Be it the US and UK, or may be Europe or perhaps Asia. So how to decide which is the right place to book your space. Hotels all over the world are busy getting clients booked. However, you may still find some hotels that are vacant.

Let us go online and search the Internet. If you live in the US or UK, you may want to visit Asia. And people living outside US and UK will certainly like to visit the United States and Britain. The travel industry is booming and each year it makes good money from the rush they receive. I found so many sites on hotels. Among them the first one was Hotels.com which automatically changed to india.hotels.com after I clicked on the link in Google search results. It is because the site has a local domain and as I am in India so it redirected to the Indian version.

Hotels.com has many features. Such as Find Your Hotel and Top Deals. You can even open an account and login where you can see your Bookings and Saved Hotels. Prices are displayed in local currency so that you do not have to take out your calculator.

The Indian Chicken Curry

This is not the only famous Indian Chicken Curry but it is one of the Chicken Curry cooked by Indians everyday somewhere in India. Almost every non-vegetarian family cooks this delicious dish once a week. Some may cook twice or thrice a week, some everyday. The frequency of cooking Chicken Curry depends on its demand in the family.

Well, lets now talk about the picture above. Its Chicken Curry cooked on a Sunday afternoon here in India. It has all those hot & spicy flavor and the taste of pure curry gravy. This taste good when eaten with Rice. You may garnish with some onion rings and a few green chillies.

West Bengal enjoying the Rains.

West Bengal finally got its much awaited rains after a very long time. People in West Bengal, especially those living in thickly populated cities like Kolkata (Calcutta) needed a rainy day. Power cuts became a very common problem due to power shortage. AC's drew a lot of power. It was only the rains which can convince the owner of AC's to switch off and enjoy the natural cool breeze. Thus reducing the amount of power cuts. I am enjoying the rains too from my home in Shibpur, Howrah. We have power right now, but we had a one hour power cut in the morning. We buy power from CESC Ltd. Its still raining and I hope that the rains will continue. The temperature needs to be reduced. I wonder people who do not have proper cooling systems, how difficult life could be. Surviving these hot seasons have become too difficult.

I was a Short Wave Radio Listener.

I would like to say that I was once a good listener of Short Wave Radio Stations during 1993 to 2003. I used to listen mostly the International Radio Stations. Some of them were BBC World Service, VOA - Voice Of America, Radio Netherlands, DW - Deutsche Welle, Radio Japan, CRI - China Radio International, RSI - Radio Singapore International, Radio Australia, and many more. I send them reception reports and in return I received QSL cards. A QSL card looks like a picture post card. In addition to these cards I used to receive programe guides, stickers and calenders.

I am having a serious mouse problem

Here is my latest news. I am having a serious mouse problem. I bought this optical USB Laptop mouse from a local computer hardware store less than a year ago. It stopped working after a few months. I gave it to them and they got it repaired from the manufacturers service center. Now it has again developed some snags. Last week it just stopped working. I do not have a spare mouse in hand which I think I should have kept with me. This time the hardware store guys refused to accept the item as it is nearly one year and its warranty will expire within two weeks. They advised me to go to the service center directly. I went to Kolkata (Calcutta) which takes an hour by bus. I had to return home disappointed as they do not give any service on Saturdays. On Monday I was told that the person who repairs the mouse is unavailable and will not come until Wednesday. I will be visiting them again tomorrow. After I get this mouse repaired I swear I will buy a new mouse and keep the old one as a spare.

Will India get infected by Swine Flu?

After a lot of cat and mouse run with Bird Flu, here comes a new type of flu, the Swine Flu. As the name suggests, swine means small pig. In countries like the Americas, pigs are consumed on a daily basis. They have it in their breakfast, lunch and dinner. The popular ones are the pork roll. Its tasty and liked by all Americans. However, this flu did not started from the US. It came to the limelight from the state of Mexico. The US authorities have already started scanning every passenger arriving from that country for any health problems.

In India we too have started the scanning process. However, I saw on TV a passenger said to the press that when he arrived at the New Delhi International Airport he heard some announcement that if anyone is feeling bad about their health, they may come for a free medical check up. That means the medical check up process is not mandatory for all. So, if this is the situation then I fear that anyone who is afraid of needles or any type of health check up will never turn up and escape the Airport. This way the flu may enter India and can infect others in no time.

I was expecting this morning a full page advertisement from the Ministry of Health about Swine Flu in our local newspapers. But I did not see any info about it. May be tomorrow they might do that. Many bloggers have started posting information about this new outbreak and what to do when you feel you are infected.

I think the good news is that it can be cured with antibiotic medicines. The other day, Cipla the Indian pharma company said they have already started mass production of a drug called 'Tami flu' which is used to cure this disease.

I hope we get success in fighting this outbreak as we always did with bird flu.

Yesterday was the longest power cut

As I mentioned in my previous blog that we were experiencing a little power cuts in our area. It was horrible. It lasted for about four hours. Its the hottest month over here and we are suffering from these massive power cuts. It is not good. Today the power went off for few minutes in the morning but was normal through out the day. But I am expecting another power cut any minute from now. Because its this time they normally do the cuts. I only have an hour or so as back up on my laptop. I hope I will be able to finish up with my postings.

Oh my God! Its very hot here!

Kolkata and its adjoining areas are now having a temperature of more than 41 degree Celsius. To make matter worse we are having frequent power cuts almost everyday. Its very difficult to live with power cuts in this hot summer. In fact right now we do not have power. I am blogging from my laptop, and using my back up power, which may last for a few minutes or so. I will keep you all informed whenever I get online. God knows when this power will come back. I need to get a nice cool shower. More to come in my next post. Keep reading.

Sell Online on Ebay India

Selling on EBay is fun. You wont believe how easy it is to sell and make money online. EBay India is the Indian version of EBay USA. You can sell both new and used products. Buyers can pay you via credit card, debit card or Internet Banking. You can also accept cheques and demand drafts. Shipping should be done as early as possible by courier. You can also ship your products via India Post, Speed Post, etc. But the most important part of your sales is your listing. Listing of the products should be nice. Take a clear picture with you digital camera and then upload that photo along with your description of the product to eBay. You can auction your products or sell it at a fixed price. Keep your price lower than others. That way you will always get attention from the buyers and your products will get sold quickly. It is better to sell those products which are not easily available in the market. Such as art work, paintings, drawings, stamps, coins, old books and magazines, old furniture, and lots of other products which are not manufactured now. I sold most of my old items on eBay and learnt a lot about online selling. The more you sell online the better you do with the experience that you get. I will post more on this whenever I get time. Please give me your feedback. Your comments will help me understand your needs. eBay My World | Items for Sale

Suman is now well.

For the past few days I was suffering from common cold. I could not go out on the Valentine's Day and had to stay indoors. I could not wish anyone on the Valentine's Day as I was totally offline. I spend my days watching television and eating spicy foods. Today I am feeling little better. I wanted to watch the Budget speech on TV. But I missed as I woke up late. I bought some stocks as the markets were down. I normally buy when the markets go down and sell when it goes up. Its called trading. Well, now I am feeling much better and hope to do well in comming days.

Kolkata Metro, still under construction.

Last Sunday I along with my family went to Garia to attend a small party in the afternoon. Journey from Howrah to Garia was quite comfortable by taxi. However, we had to give away 300 bucks for the fifty minutes ride. The much awaited Kolkata Metro is still under construction between Tollygunge and Garia. Kolkata Metro Rail connects Dum Dum with Tollygunge. I do not know why it is taking so long to complete the elevated route to Garia. I wish the trains will start running by 2010. I love to travel by Metro as it is fast as well as pollution free. I do not know when will Howrah get connected with Kolkata Metro?

Happy Fish Fry Day!

Wish you all a very happy fish fry day. Hey, what am I saying? Fish Fry? How can I fry this fish? I mean just look at it. It looks so nice. Today is Friday, but I did not had any fish. I ate soyabean with rice and Dal. This fish belongs to our neighbour. They kept their fish for a week with us. They were out of city to celebrate the new year. We changed the water every two days. What is the name of this fish? Any guess?
